Leah is a current PhD candidate in Microbiology and Immunology. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Infectious Disease, both from the University of Western Australia.
Her research in the Av-Gay Lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of tuberculosis pathogenesis, and exploring these as novel drug targets.
Leah loves all things tennis and cooking or baking. She also enjoys sewing and quilting, but her machine unfortunately remained in Australia when she moved to Vancouver!
