Shira holds a Ph.D in Biology from the Technion – Isreal Institute of Technology. Her Ph.D focused on HLA peptide purification and analysis. She received her Masters degree in Epidemiology, also from the same university.
In the Av-Gay Lab, she is a project manager for the GSK3 research, aiming to test novel approaches for host directed therapy for TB treatment.
In her free time, Shira enjoys baking, playing sports, and listening to music.
