Tirosh graduated from the University of Queensland with a PhD in Genetics. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Av-Gay Lab.
Tirosh’s research focuses on developing methods to explore the infected host’s response to an M. tuberculosis infection. His two main interests are a) host-directed therapeutics – identifying cellular targets and modes of actions, and b) the contribution of the host’s genetics to the progression of infection.
In his spare time, Tirosh enjoys running, fencing, cooking, and writing.
